    Nestled in the far Southwest corner of Brooklyn is Red Hook, a neighborhood rich with history and creativity. Although it is home to many niche shops, art galleries, waterfront parks and food culture, most businesses suffer from a lack of regular patronage due to inadequate transportation to and throughout the area. Ride the Hook is an initiative designed to improve the economic sustainability of Red Hook. By re-framing the neighborhood as an accessible and intriguing biking destination, Ride the Hook aims to increase commercial activity on the Van Brundt main street, as well as to lesser known businesses throughout Red Hook.
