The Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon is a 36-hour broadcast where stories of courage and hope from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute patients, doctors, nurses, and supporters join in a mission to "strike out" cancer for patients in Boston and around the world. Since 2002, generous support of this event has raised more than $62 million to support pediatric and adult cancer care and research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
The Project:
With 2022 marking the 20th Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon from Fenway Park, The Jimmy Fund, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, The Boston Red Sox, WEEI radio, and the New England Sports Network was looking for a logo to commemorate the anniversary. The logo needed to be scalable for a complete experience on-air, on-line, and in print. The solution also needed to include the WEEI brand, the NESN brand, sponsorship, connection to the Boston Red Sox, and Fenway Park while having an identity of its own. Moreover, this logo needed to be adaptable beyond the 20 year anniversary.
The Solution:
The solution utilizes the iconic Fenway Park’s Green Monster Wall as the backdrop to the multi-branded Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon logo. The use of the Wall’s well established color reinforces the concept while the simple rectangle shape creates a neutral field for all the brands.

Allowing the basic geometric elements to be flexible, the modular graphic system facilitates multiple situations and applications as well as provides longevity beyond the anniversary year.
