PROJECT INFORMATION
Modernu is a furniture company guided by a passion for authentic, thoughtfully created modern design. They needed a catalog that would strengthen the concept of the company which specialized in providing carefully designed, modern furniture pieces for contemporary living spaces.
During the project, I analyzed a large number of catalogs and identified two main issues: many catalogs had a modern, unusual look, but were not convenient for users to get information, while others were convenient but lacked visual appeal, which cheapened the company and its products. Therefore, the main goals were:
- create a balance of attractiveness and convenience;
- create a balance of attractiveness and convenience;
- to make a catalog that is not a typical boring one that can be found in almost every furniture store.
One of the main challenges I faced was finding a balance between style and convenience while still providing all the necessary product information. I tackled this by designing each product page with four pages of information, which allowed me to present each furniture piece in detail without overcrowding the page.
Additionally, I used interior photos to provide a reference point and an opportunity to see the product in use, providing an additional way to attract buyer's attention. To keep the reader focused on the information and maintain consistency with the brand's visual identity, I chose a minimalist layout throughout the catalog.
In the end, the result was a modern, high-quality catalog that successfully achieved the client's goals. I created a catalog that was both visually appealing and easy to use, showcasing Modernu's carefully designed, modern furniture pieces for contemporary living spaces.
