Artwork Description: SQUEEEEZE! We’ve all experienced the feeling of jumping onto a Dart or a Luas at peak commute timings and being squashed into a corner! Uncomfortable but ultimately happy as we managed to get a space. This artwork depicts the “squash and the squeeze” with eyes darting around but not really knowing where to look! This artwork celebrates the commute, it celebrates those moments and thoughts conjured during this intimate (because of proximity) but uncomfortable experience.
Dublin Canvas is an idea, a community art project intended to bring flashes of colour and creativity to everyday objects in the greater County Dublin area. Less grey, more play. The project takes previously unused public space and transforms it into canvases to help brighten up each area.
