American Pie Hard Cider  -  Phase I
A labor of love. This design child started their younger years as a college assignment. My aim was to create a pie-flavored cider that evokes mid-century Americana. I printed, cut, pasted, and photographed this custom packaging design on a deconstructed 6-pack of Woodchuck Cider. Little did I know, I wouldn't be able to put this project down. While there are elements I love, there are many design mistakes I needed to improve on in order to be visually appealing.

The Logo  - Phase II
At this point, I knew that there was a solid idea here that I needed to refine. But this design baby still has a way to go.

The Plaid Pastry  - Phase III
After graduating from college and working in the real design world, my graphic design eye matured. The project came back to life in a whole new form. I knew I had one spectacular element in this project - a plaid pie crust logo. I decided to retire the hard cider concept and repurpose it as bakery branding. After landing on an alliterated name, the refining of the logo began. But that's not the end of the road for this design child.

The Plaid Pastry  -  All Grown Up
After graduating from college and gaining firsthand experience as a graphic designer, I came back to this project multiple times before landing here. The mockup was made with Artboard Studio, showcasing the new logo in multiple uses. However, my main goal was to create a Pinterest pin that could inspire others to create their own bold designs.
