Project Description
Batter up is an after school training facility for kids to come and practice either baseball or softball, offering lessons one on one sessions or local teams. Batter up focuses on training to the next level and is fully committed to helping you work towards any goal you set. Batter up is unique because it is a family owned business and is considered a community that is connected with Methuen public schools that offers kids an extra hand and support in achieving their athletic goals and dreams.
Batter up is a family friendly business that attracts all ages ranging from 8 to 18 years old kids in middle school and high school but it can also attract older people for various different lessons offered at Batter up.
the scope of this project is to create a good brand image for the business that will represent what batter up is all about, professionalism, hospitality and one community. Currently the logo is very similar to a university logo, the logo we are going for is to represent a athletic performance center.
Ideation
Mind Map: The logo I plan to develop should take into account the details I have listed below. I want the logo to include the colors of methuen public schools which are blue and white. I think a word mark and an image of bats and baseballs included.

The logo I plan to create will be more modernized and representing methuenThe following images reflect the direction I would like to take. They include fonts, colors, textures and a number of logos that have a look and feel that represents the direction I would like to take with the redesign of Batter Up.
Sketches
While sketching out my ideas I was trying to incorporate the baseball and or a bat to actually show what the place is for because some people wouldn't know what it is unless it is explained to them. I'm going for more of an emblem style logo which means it will include a visual as well as the name of the business.
Color Theory and Typefaces
I wanted to try and experiment in a couple different logo styles, emblem style, word mark style, and letter form style. These are some of the layouts I plan to chose from, im leaning more onto the blue balls and the black font.
