As the linguist Maxim Krongauz aptly said, “we live in a time of linguistic conflicts.” Polina Justova asked our Polish authors what buzzwords get them mad and I’ve illustrated what came out of it.
I used limited color palette with bloody red as the main one and ragged contours which correspond to the intensity of emotions.
'"I don't respond on emails which start as 'witam' anymore", — says Michał Rusinek, translator, writer and lecturer. 'Witam' means "Welcome" and it annoys as hell in emails!
