Hesed, or חֶסֶד, is the Hebrew word for kindness. Every year, Temple Israel Center of White Plains has a different theme, and in 2012 they aimed to promote random acts of kindess. I was asked to design a simple banner they would display in the Hebrew School wing (above), as well as buttons and magnets that they would hand out to synagogue patrons.
The line under the "H" in Hesed signifies it should be pronounced with a throaty ch sound.
