Overview
St John’s Primary School is an innovative three storey newbuild school situated in the heart of Blackpool town centre. This unique £3.9m project designed by Aedas was commissioned by the School Governors through Blackburn Diocese with funding from the Department for Children, Schools and Families via the Targeted Capital Fund. The 1,500m² scheme includes a 16 place early years unit, facilities for community use and a 1FE primary school each accessed via separate entries. It’s unusual height and design works with the tight urban context maximising both space and light whilst providing a secure and safe environment for staff and pupils to enjoy.
