Maintenant, j'enregistre plus, is a short film about memory and remembrance which invites the viewer into the world of Josette Abrial, 84 years old. She talks about her childhood, her travels, World War II and her work through a series of anecdotes revealing a colorful character. Through radical framing, which allows the camera to be forgotten, the speech is free and leaves space for the viewer, who becomes both a witness and an actor. Indeed this testimony is accompanied by a second projection which sometimes shows and sometimes punctuates the interview. My aim is to recreate the stories in a visual, emotional and occasionally abstract way.
