HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF
The concept for developing this work was to create a cycle of a story that repeats itself.
I decided to use the gesture of tossing a coin as the basis for the repetition.
The symbolic elements used were the coin (which represents money and wealth), the globe (which represents the material goods that money “can” buy and its achievements) and the human hand (which represents the gesture of taking possession of something). Together, these three elements represent human greed in always wanting more and more and never being satisfied with what you have.
