ROTTEN FRUIT PHOTOGRAPHY
Exocarp: A fruit that is harvested in between the 2 seasons of spring and summer, the Plum is a symbol of transition, warmth and hope. The hollow skin along with the pulp emphasizes on the idea of decay/ deterioration of hope and its fruit’s strong connection with nature. With cultured lab-grown fruit's being on the rise, science interferes with the natural food growth. Resulting in food being 'cooked up' in labs.
I aimed to create an eerie visual where you see the plum which usually has a warmer, full of life connotation, in a cold, artificial environment.
