Design on Border (Design na Hranici in czech original) is a one-day design conference organized by students of Digital Design studio, Tomas Bata University in Zlin. What does term "trendy design" mean? Where is the border between originality and inspiration? Those were the questions being discussed and demonstrated by the invited speakers like The Rodina, Oficina, Lukáš Veverka and more.
The visual language development was based on the research of most commonly used elements in design in year 2013. These appeared to be geometric shapes, hand crafted assets, 3D, diagonals, glitches, distortions, grid systems, deer or illuminati symbolism.
Messing around with these elements I ended up with a combination of prints and hand crafted stamps, badges, microsite and a full-cg video spot created by Martin Nábělek with music by Samuel Jánoš.
Materials created: poster, flyer, banner, pins, stamps. microsite, video spot
