Create-ture: Customized Stuffed Toy Maker

Preset body parts are provided to allow ready access to the sewing patterns and assembly instructions required for every body part. Every body part (including the main body and head) contains a set of points that form a grid. The software system records what is attached to each grid point. The amount of fabric and stuffing needed for each body part can be optimized in terms of the amount of material being used and its cost. These dimensions and specifications are saved and transmitted to a factory, where machines will efficiently build the parts and assemble them into a "Create-Ture".

Build Prototype Draft (Normal Mode)

There are more options in customization. Users start off with a blank slate. They are able place parts where they want by simply dragging and dropping,. They can view the animal from a variety of angles, and see how much its going to cost them as they build. Users have the same options of using templates like in Easy Mode. But in this interface, users can do more than just switch out parts, but also create additional body parts. A help option is available to see what steps are needed to take in order to make a typical animal. They may also switch back to the easy mode at any time.

Gallery Prototype Draft

Coverflow preview for our user’s designs. Allows a quick glance of what a gallery category consists of and an opportunity to swiftly click to a specific design. Cover-flow feature would provide a cool effect by being able to, depending on the device, drag and flick through a collection of design plates. Each design preview can be shown in greater and larger detail by a click of a mouse. Categories are also provided to help organize designs.
