CHARACTERS

Estafos & Suraya

Estafos is a brilliant engineer and the inventor of the QUARTYEAR™ Engine that was being tested on the "PARADIS" ship, of which Suraya was the captain.

The ship was fully automated with intricate failsafe systems, which had a failsafe measure for those measures. And all that power wasn't enough to stop the ship from collapsing the space-time, and moving our characters across the universe.

Spaceship "PARADIS" was plummeting onto the planet's surface, leaving smoke and chemtrails in bizarre formations.

Estafos and Suraya were the only two survivors of a spacecraft that crashed landed on an alien planet. They were testing a new lightspeed engine that warped space and time, but something had gone horribly wrong.

As they journeyed across the alien world, they had all sorts of adventures; sometimes, they dodged angry creatures while exploring ancient ruins that seemed to be built by people of unfathomable size, sometimes they would encounter a pretty standard sized corridors or arches.

But no matter where they went or what they did, they were constantly surrounded by shadowy figures.

One day, while exploring an ancient temple, Estafos happened to find an artifact.

He was about to touch it when Suraya warned him not to; she could see the shadows more clearly than he could and she knew that touching the artifact would mean certain death. But Estafos was curious and he touched it anyway. And then everything changed.

Estefos could suddenly see the shadows more clearly: ghosts of the planet's past.

Some of the shadows were a shimmer of happy memories, others were sad ones; but all of them were beautiful in their own way. Estafos and Suraya spent hours watching the ghosts dance around them, telling each other stories about what life used to be like on this planet. It was like being able to see into another world entirely, and for a brief moment Estafos felt like he belonged there.

But as always, the ghosts eventually faded away and reality set back in. Estafos and Suraya resumed their journey across the alien world, but now it felt different somehow.

Like maybe there was still hope for them after all...
