A project about leaving behind a place somebody once called home. At first it was all just a challenge for me in which I wanted to tell stories with the minimum amount of visual information, so I came up with the idea of abandoned places. 

With every illustration something strange happened. In my mind the subject became bigger and bigger and every minute spent on it brought some memories and past events back in my mind. I was becoming more and more uncomfortable and dissatisfied with the project. What started as a doodle for fun became something more important. 

For now I'll leave the project like this but I want to come back to it in the future and face the true challenges of the subject and do it justice for myself in order to heal and come to terms with things from the past.
