Book fairs are not only a venue for exhibiting and presenting new books, but also for specialised lectures, readings, and discussion forums. Book fairs are, of course, appealing to designers and creative individuals. Whether it's an illustrator looking to publish their upcoming children's book, a designer looking to publish their own book project, or a typographer meeting publishers at a book fair. A book fair is also visually appealing and provides an opportunity to learn about the current state of publishing. 

For the 54th Edition of the Cairo Book Fair, held in January 2023, I have designed a pair of A1 posters, each capturing the essence and function of the event as through both illustration and type. I have also created a system which not only includes the poster but also bookmarks and giveaways for those attending to keep record of the event. The vibrant colors contrasted by the light ones. the sleek sans serif type and the style of illustration are all design decisions I made based on the message and purpose of the event, which is that it's a joyful space where people can explore various genres from different artists, share knowledge and build relationships that might later turn into beautiful collaborations that could b published in the later years.
