I have a PC (not a laptop) and many other devices (Wacom tablet, camera, iPad, phone USB, webcam, wireless adapter, mouse, keyboard, headphones, along with others that are used less often) that connect through cables to the PC. The fact that PC's don't get moved would make you think that cable organization would be a lot easier than a laptop where you have to pack up all the cables everytime you move it. Well for me, I have made peace with the fact that ALL of my cables will never be organized properly. As of now I keep all my cables lying on the floor next to my PC tower or in a bag along with all my spare cables (which I try and avoid at all costs as the cables are now all tangled with no ends in sight!)

So this design challenge is NOT to completely solve the problem (because honestly I think that is just a pipe dream - especially with my set up) but rather to provide a simple, easy to look at, functional, easy to use, and potentially portable design that "tidy's my floor up of the ridiculous amount cables".
