YEEZY × NIKE: A Yeezy Life

[EN] This project came to me during a shower, listening to "Last Call", one of Kanye's
oldests songs. I always admired his story, both as an artist and as a person, but felt that
the YEEZY Adidas collaboration never really explored this part of Ye's life.

Being a huge Nike/Jordan fan, I love the way that Michael Jordan created a brand along
with his name, whilst telling his story through his shoes.

That's why I elaborated this collaboration between YEEZY and NIKE. The idea behind it is
to tell one of the most living influential artists story, Kanye West, with one of the most
iconic sneaker silhouettes of history, the Air Jordan 1.

[PT] Eu idealizei esse projeto enquanto tomava um banho, ouvindo "Last Call", uma das
músicas mais antigas do Kanye. Sempre admirei a história dele, tanto como artista e
pessoa, mas sentia que a colaboração entre YEEZY × Adidas nunca realmente explorou
essa parte da vida de Ye.

Sendo um grande fã da Nike/Jordan, amo a maneira que Michael Jordan alavancou sua
marca junto do seu nome, ao mesmo tempo que contava sua história através dos tênis.

Por isso elaborei essa colaboração entre YEEZY e NIKE. A ideia por trás dela é contar a
história de um dos artistas mais influentes vivos, Kanye West, com uma das silhuetas
mais icônicas da história, o Air Jordan 1.

[EN] The box was based off of the Air Jordan 1 and YEEZY Boost boxes, turning them up into one.

The Colorways / Os Modelos

[EN] Each one of the colorways is inspired in an album and era that Kanye went through in his life. The goal was to incoporate the aesthetic used in the album onto the shoe itself.

[PT] Cada um dos modelos foi inspirado em um álbum e fase da vida do Kanye. O objetivo era incorporar a estética usada no álbum no tênis.
