Design frames created for mOcean.
I created two design styles for the promotional campaign for The Last Movie Stars on CNN+ (Now on HBO Max). This is a limited series about Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. The overall concept is that of a production studio desk top because the actual making and constructing of the series was an important part of the documentary.
This first set of boards is a top down/table top style. It was a lot of fun because there was so much material to work with! The first frame starts at the beginning of their lives and careers so the elements and images are all in black and white. Can I call this diegetic color? It's not simply desaturated but I carefully curated the objects to fit with the color scheme. The technology is also antiquated to fit the time period. As we move forward in time I incorporated more color and progressed the technology.
