I got the opportunity to work on one of the RLCS stage videos. Together with a few other editors, we were asked to produce 9 team trailers, which were broadcasted in front of more than 150k people on the official Rocket League twitch channel. I took care of making the video for team NRG - The deadline was amazingly hard as I was introduced to the project relatively late, which ended up with making the whole video in just 3 days.

VFX Breakdown

I used Blender for 3D scenes, particles and simulations, all compositing was done in After Effects. Due to upcoming deadline, I did not have the luxury to cache long simulations, that's why I faked some of the physics by keyframing the offset values (such as grass and vegetation that can be seen below)

Custom NRG flag textures

Crown shatter scene
For this scene I used a plugin called Cell Fracture. It allowed me to fracture the crown mesh to randomized small pieces, later used with gravity and other forces in simulaitons.
