Some info about the metopes: a metope (μετόπη) is a rectangular architectural relief that fills the space between two triglyphs in a Doric frieze (a zone above the epistyle of the external colonnade of the Parthenon). On the east side of Parthenon, on the metopes are scenes from the Gigantomachy (Γιγαντομαχία, Battle with Giants). On the west are scenes from Amazonomachy (Αμαζονομαχία, Battle with the Amazons), on the north from the Trojan War and on the south, scenes from the Centauromachy (Κενταυρομαχία, Battle between the Lapiths and the Centaurs), which most of them are located at the British Museum.

The number next to the metopes are according to international bibliography for easier access.
