This ongoing project is the brainchild of Todd Perkins, an industrial designer based in Columbus, Ohio, USA. Rhythm MusicBikes (MusicBikes is intentionally spelled as one word) is to say the least; a bespoke electric motorcycle brand with music as an inspiration. Below this paragraph are sketches and revisions on how we got here...
The initial sketches started as the just the word rhythm until Todd Perkins Design (TPD) was invited to a motorcycle show in Los Angeles. Eventually, what became the final tag would end up being the logo itself being a logo text. As for the colors, Rhythm initially did not have a set color palette due to TPD's wishes to allow the buyer to determine the color.
Below this text is the final Illustration used for merchandising. The bike pictured originally was 'Rhythm' but is currently codenamed 'Bella'.
After finishing the illustration, work began on refining the 'Rhythm' logo type. Removing the hashtag, altering the angle, and adding more sharpness to make the logo more electric...
