Drexel [ExCITe] Center at the Armory

Based on a group master plan analysis, the historic armory building was identified as an underused space at the center of Drexel's campus. The adaptive reuse project injects the historic structure with a diverse program and creates the new heart beat of Drexel’s campus. The program includes various flexible spaces designed for the different facets of collaborative work. Designed for a 24 hour program, the building will literally light up the core of campus to contribute to Drexel University’s tradition of innovation.

Drexel’s Expressive and Creative Interaction Technologies [ExCITe] center
is a university wide strategic initiative bringing together faculty, students, and entrepreneurs from engineering, fashion design, digital media, performing arts, computer and information science, product design and many other fields to pursue highly multi-disciplinary collaborative projects.
