DIGITAL BOOKSTORE RETAIL DESIGN FOR RAKUTEN KOBO
 Throughout history, since the invention of printing, books have been one of the most important sources of information about the surrounding world. In Malaysia, the reading habits rate is still at a lower level, Malaysian on average read only two books per year. About 80% of Malaysian university students are reluctant readers. They can read but choose not to read. According to the study, the amount of time spent on reading and the number of books read (which determined reading habits) by pupils were influenced by such factors as home, school, social environment, socio-economic status, other media, and the personal aspect.

This digital bookstore is a retail store that provides interactive services for customers to develop their reading habits. With this, hoping the problem of reading rate is still at a low level in Malaysia able to be solved and customers are able to discover the benefit and joy of reading habits. There are several services to be provided at this digital bookstore which are reception, island display for products, reading area, exploration area with the HoloTower and Hologram Kiosk, and Dome projection room. The customers are welcome to try out the interactive service provided by the HoloTower and Hologram Kiosk. At the same time, customers are also welcome to immerse themselves into the world of the story through the dome projection room.
