CEREALS, PORRIDGE AND GRAIN
PACKAGING DESIGN FOR OZON EXPRESS
EXPRESS: crazy and healthy life at your fingertips
THE TASK
Ozon Express, a part of e-commerce company Ozon, challenged me to create a series of package designs for cereals, grains and porridge in alignment with their branding: magenta and cyan colors plus collage technique.
THE RESULT
I created a concept that was based on the idea of grain bag. Bags were historically used for storage and transportation of grains, whereas they could be easily opened to show the quality of the grain. The idea behind this package was to show the quality of Ozon Express' grains (as they deliver products within a day) through transparent window.
The target audience of the product is young adults, therefore the design is visually bright and slightly crazy. Every package is unique, and "grain monsters" on the front side tell us something about the product inside: for instance, steam rice wears a sauna hat and buckwheat shows its strong muscles as buckwheat is a typical food for sportsmen.
THE STRUCTURE
Despite the design being crazy and a little bit chaotic itself, each and every package follows the strict rules of the series. Moreover, collage technique of illustrations allows me to use the whole symbolic potential of the designs.
