This is a story framed in a painting.
I tried to capturing the exact scene of a disaster occurred almost 2000 years ago .
A volcano situated in the city of Pompeii called Mount Vesuvius erupted in August 79AD . The entire city got buried under the pyroclastic surge and gases evolved from the volcano.
The sad part of that day was, that the majority of the population didn't actually leave the city .
The people of Pompeii at that time had never heard of anything like this . They were unaware of the disaster that could be caused by a mountain .
They had never heard of a volcano.
The city was already prone of such disaster , as many earthquakes had already hit .
It was for the first time when people Pompeii experienced anything like this.
Soon, few of the population chose to leave the land and flee but the majority being oblivious of the future, decided to stay .
Shortly one day the mountain suddenly erupted and covered the city under dust, rocks and surge . It was so quick that no one could run away. It was so hot, the people got burnt and the skin and bones melted away.
Just in few hours all that left were ashes an invisible city buried under the dust of mount Vesuvius.
