So happy how these turned out!

The True Inspiration.
This shot had so much emotion and raw power to it that really depicted what I wanted to go for.

Three really simple sketches to let the client know my direction.

Originally I did a very photo representation illustration of Henry Rollins and the client actually wanted my drawing techniques to shine through. So I tossed it all and just drew the eff out of it! He loved it!  ( I added the tats later)

One of my favorite parts of this process is the color stage.
I made my own little voting system on Instagram and Facebook to try and lean the client onto a color scheme. Number 1 was my ode to one of my favorite artists Jim Phillips that I have been lucky enough to have talked to through a number of email exchanges. Buuut  in the end, the Client is the one paying the bills and what he came up with looks amazing.
The client went as far as working with Factory 13 to create a new shape! Mind = Blown

Pops all cut out and look at that wine color!
I'm no skate pro, but these look so rad!
