This is an illustration I wanted to achieve two things.
1 - | Firstly, I wanted to reflect on the sentiment that moving to Edinburgh had on me as a young and full of dreams creative. Edinburgh was just so different to everything and the little I knew about this world and it has captivated me completely ever since.
Secondly, from a more technical point of view, I wanted to push my illustration work to a more complex composition and incorporate a wider landscape with buildings. Trying new and complex things is what makes me grow the most. I also wanted to use my own photography as reference since I can walk through the magic streets of Edinburgh anytime and observe with my own eyes the details of this city.
