My work is a manifestation of the way I look at love.
Love is like the blade of a knife. Its sharpness along with its beauty is similar to love. Love is beautiful in reality, but danger lurks behind. As most have experienced, two people in love traverse back and forth between heaven and hell. At time, pounding heartache follows. The image of the knife that sums up my work is a pictorial rendering of the pain involved in love.

The story of love is told through the Tea drawing series, drawing made of brewed tea. Since a long time ago, tea time has always been a meditative moment to empty one’s heart in the East. Furthermore, as can be seen in terms of color or the stain, a sense of uncertainty is inherent in tea drawings. It’s somewhat possible to predict the resulting color of the drawing, but one must also be open to changes as the color also depends on the specificity of the paper. In such a way, elements of uncertain feelings in love are like that of the tea as a medium. As the color changes with time, tea drawing is a definite reference to the emotions of love.
