The Ekranoplans are an exteremely intersting technology that were created by the Soviet Union during the Cold War era.

For this infographic I am showcasing the Lun-class ekranoplan (NATO reporting name Duck) which was a ground effect vehicle (GEV) designed by Rostislav Evgenievich Alexeevand used by the Soviet and Russian navies from 1987 to sometime in the late 1990s.It "flew" using the lift generated by the ground effect of its large wings when close to the surface of the water - about four metres or less. Although they might look similar and/or have related technical characteristics, ekranoplans like the Lun are not aircraft, seaplanes, hovercraft, or hydrofoils - ground effect is a separate technology altogether.

Several sources and a documentary had to be studied for gathering the information that was required to create the infograph. I went for a more visually appealing style which was based just on grids. The information was now layed out in three section namely, History/ Assembly, Flight and Info.
