“Friends are like walls; sometimes you lean on them and
sometimes it’s just enough to know that they’re there”

He’s whimpering, standing on his two hind legs, forearms stretched upwards. As I drop my bag on the couch, I can’t resist his eyes – how the chocolate brown melts in the streaks of sunlight. The fur – smooth, black strands growing longer day-by-day. My smile can’t be obscured as I give my good pal a great big hug. I hear the whimpering come to an end as I catch a glimpse of his snow-white teeth displayed upon his cute little smile.

My little pet puppy – the bestest friend anyone could need. Whenever I’m feeling blue, he cuddles to me as if trying to tell me that he feels the same emotions as me. Whenever I have some problem, my pup listens so intently to what I’m saying that anyone could even think he understands, and who knows maybe there’s a slight chance that Puffle does understand. He’s such an attentive pup – I mean – you’d find barely any human with the qualities he does.

First by talking to him once, you’d get all the answers, endless and the lasting comfort you ever needed. If only I could talk to him every second of the day: in school, while sleeping, and during vacations – it would be a miracle. I can’t forget Puffle no matter how hard I might try.

Puffle and I play catch every day. Tug-of-War is another favorite. I eat cereal while Puffle eats dog food. We watch TV often and visit friends.

Even someone inhuman who doesn’t speak the same language as you or have the same habits as you, then can turn out to be your best friend when you least expected it.
