Where the waves meet the crescent moon.
That's where my death shall be.
The mountain stares back at me,
standing tall, unthreatened,
stone-cold.
I stare, and I stare at the lone massif
And yet, I warmed my hands, challenged the ice-chilled wind
Climbing forwards and upwards
determined to find my calling.
(Loneliness accompanied me to the pinnacle
and so did the feeling of belonging nowhere. Climb at your own risk.)
