Doop stools | pine wood, steel tubing
This small series of stools was developed during the minor programme ‘The Essence of Design’. I followed my passion for interior and inventive constructions to create this concept where the user plays a key role in the connection between the loose elements of the stool. Without the weight of the user the stool falls apart like a house of cards but when weight is added the construction is ridged enough to sit on. The element of vulnerability demands a heightened sense of awareness that will continuously foster a connection between the product and the user. This harnesses the novelty of the product.
