The creation of this brand identity was made throughout my thesis research about visual identity and the performing arts.
Filao is a contemporary dance company that performs mostly for younger audiences.
The requirements for this brand were for it to express: movement, duality (2 dancers), force and impetus. It was also important to find a way for it to be flexible and moldable to all the different performances that this company has made and will make in the future.
This logo has two main components: the text and the line work from the background. The company is going to be able to change the line form and the colors to adapt the logo to the performance piece they want to promote. The concept allows for it to be flexible without loosing the identity itself.
