Multiple Portraits is a series of video installations presenting contemporary portraits of people in different regions of the world: Europe, America, Asia.
Multiple Portraits belongs to a universe of contents including media, technology, websites, social media, writing, photography, and visual arts. The audience is free to create its own narrative experimenting with an interactive approach to storytelling.
Multiple Portraits starts as part of Crossing Stages, an interdisciplinary arts project coordinated by Universidad Carlos III de Madrid with the support of the Culture Program of the European Union. Participant countries are Spain, France, Italy, Portugal and Slovenia.
- HUMANS IN THE DESERT (2022, Spain/Jordan, 5min), to be produced in Jordan and based on The Human Animal by Weston La Barre and The Book of Animals by Al-Jahiz, is a portrait of humans connected with animals.
- TARAHUMARA PROJECT (2013-2021, Spain/Mexico, 16min) produced in Northern Mexico, is the portrait of a Tarahumara family, an enigmatic pre-Hispanic pueblo.
- PENELOPE IS WAITING (2015, Spain, 7min) produced in Madrid, is the portrait of a contemporary woman in search of love. The video installations are multiple, simultaneous, in motion, cinematic, and transmedia.
