Watu Kodok Beach is one of the beaches located in Gunungkidul district, and is an area known for its beautiful natural potential. The location is quite far and the lack of lodging accommodations for tourists is a reference for the construction of a resort in that location. With the inn area, we can know that the use of large enough energy makes one of the problems faced in lodging buildings. Both from lighting energy and ventilation with Air Condition (AC). So it is necessary to use energy efficiently and appropriately so that there is no waste in its use.

The concept of the resort design approach is Bioclimatic Architecture where the concept is chosen based on the problems at the site.The emphasis is on the concept of energy and water efficient buildings as well as respecting the state of the site and also utilizing the potential of the surrounding nature. Design testing is carried out by benchmarking the study of bioclimatic architecture, as well as simulating three-dimensional images using BIM. So that the resort building can be said to be an energy efficient building, the designer provides a solution in the form of designing with a Building Envelope both in terms of materials and appropriate openings in order to be able to take full advantage of natural lighting through sunlight.
