Sudirman is an area in tropical Jakarta, dominated by office buildings. Most of the office buildings there were built during the International Style era, which was mushrooming in the 1980s. So that the building is dominated by dead glass which does not respond to the tropical climate and the environmental needs of the city of Jakarta. As a result, the use of air conditioners is maximized, other energy waste and environmental pollution are increasingly becoming. The construction sector is known to have a significant impact on the environment. The construction sector contributes to producing carbon gas emissions of more than 40%, using materials from nature which are quite large, donating waste, and reducing areas for water catchment and green areas. On this basis, within the framework of sustainable development, practitioners in the construction world are continuously encouraged to apply the concept of green building. So that the application of the six aspects of green architecture, namely energy conservation, cooperation with the climate, reducing the use of new resources, suitability for users and sites and the coverage of many aspects that are mutually cloudy is the right solution for office buildings in the Sudirman area. The issues that exist in the Sudirman area and surrounding areas are the background for the planning and design of the CBD Tower Office & Theater with an Energy Saving Architecture approach.

The purpose of this design is to get a building design that provides office facilities at affordable prices, is comfortable, and applies the concept of energy saving. The method used is an architectural design method with an Energy Saving Architecture approach. The results obtained are the design of the BCBD Tower Office & Theater with an Energy-Saving Architecture approach which is applied to the lighting and ventilation system, such as determining the position of openings and controlling sunlight by providing massive walls, overhangs, and secondary skin on the exterior of the building.
