Saved, Burma Railway PoW Carriages.
The Burma railway was a 4,000-km railroad line built by the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. The railway ran from Bangkok to Rangoon (Yangon), through northern Thailand, and across the border into Burma. The construction of the railroad would have allowed the Japanese to move troops and materials quickly and easily from Bangkok to Burma's central coast, where they could transport supplies and reinforcements to their forces in the jungles of Burma.
