N Spark는 자동차들이 내연기관에서 전기자동차로 바뀌어가는 시점에서 제안하는 전기자동차 전용 올시즌 타이어입니다. 미래적인 도시의 이미지에서 트레드 패턴을 추출하여 실제 타이어의 사이즈를 지니고 있습니다. N Spark는 당신의 소중한 전기자동차를 더욱 돋보이게 만들어 줄 수 있는 타이어입니다.

N Spark is an all-season tire for electric vehicles that is proposed at a time when automobiles are changing from internal combustion engines to electric vehicles. It has the actual tire size by extracting the tread pattern from the image of the futuristic city. N Spark is a tire that can make your precious electric vehicle stand out.

자동차는 도시를 구성하는 중요한 하나의 요소입니다. 이러한 생각에서 출발하여 자동차와 도시를 연결해주는 그런 패턴을 타이어에 접목하고 싶었습니다. 그렇게 하기 위해서 다양한 미래적인 도시 건축물을 보며 영감을 받고 패턴을 추출할 수 있었습니다.

Cars are an important component of a city. Starting from this idea, I wanted to incorporate a pattern that connects the car and the city to the tire. To do so, I was able to get inspiration and extract patterns from looking at various futuristic urban architecture.

다양한 건축물과 인테리어 그리고 건축의 원리까지 보면서 러프하게 패턴들을 추출할 수 있었습니다. 팀원들과 함께 수집된 패턴들을 가지고 다양하게 배열해 보며 저희가 나아가고자 하는 방향에 제일 알맞게 라인을 정리할 수 있었습니다.

I was able to extract rough patterns by looking at various buildings, interiors, and even the principles of architecture. By arranging the patterns collected with the team members in various ways, we were able to arrange the lines to best fit the direction we wanted to go.

실제 타이어의 데이터를 기반으로 라인 드로잉을 진행했습니다. 세로로 길게 뻗은 4개의 홈은 수로의 역할을 하고 좌, 우측에 있는 넓은 홈은 세로의 수로에서 뻗어나간 물들이 배출될 수 있게 합니다. 그리고 전반적인 패턴의 각도들은 접지력과, 제동력을 담당하며 높은 토크를 요구하는 전기자동차에게 알맞는 조건을 갖춥니다.

Line drawing was carried out based on actual tire dimension. The four vertical grooves serve as water channels, and the lateral grooves on the left and right allow the water extending from the vertical grooves to be discharged. And the angles of the overall pattern are in charge of traction and braking, and are suitable for electric vehicles that require high torque.

Modeling

작은 실수라도 실제 타이어에서는 엄청난 차이를 일으킬 수 있기 때문에 모델링을 더욱 더 세밀하고 정교하게 진행했습니다. 실제로 타이어 기업에서 사용하는 치수를 기반으로 하여 모델링에 엄청난 노력을 많이 기울였습니다.

Even a small mistake can make a huge difference in a real tire, we proceeded with modeling more precisely and more precisely. In fact, a lot of effort was put into modeling it based on the dimensions used by tire companies.

1:1 스케일의 목업을 진행했습니다. 실제로 보았을 때의 가지는 느낌과 분위기는 어떠한지 살펴보기 위함이었고 실제로 고무로 제작을 진행했을 때 무리는 없을지 판단할 수 있었습니다. 너무 정교한 라인을 제작하는 데에 까다로운 절차를 만들 수 있기 때문입니다.

1:1 scale mockup was performed. It was to see what the feeling and atmosphere would be like when you actually saw it, and I was able to judge whether there would be any problem when it was actually made with rubber. This is because it can create a tricky procedure for creating lines that are too elaborate.
