After many renditions, the organizers chose this logo for a summer trail marathon. They wanted a "dirty" but also "fun" look. The various splatterings allude to creek and mud splashings by run participants. The absence of a runner was requested by the organizers and the effect is that the runner has already left the image area. Color selections were based on the bodies of water in the area as well as the dirt trails.
