Women's History 2022
Graphics Without Borders celebrated Women’s History Month 2022 with a new portrait almost every day in March. Women’s historic and contemporary contributions to society are elemental – as essential as the ABCs. And that’s how I’ll be organizing my illustrations, A to Z.
I picked 26 important and influential women from history and today’s headlines. I picked women from 10 different countries, many different cultures, from a nonagenarian to a teenager. Some of my choices have already passed away, and some have barely started to change the world.
Artistically, I’ve used an extensive palette of colors to illustrate this diverse group of leaders, icons and influencers. Some of my choices are cannon, the greatest hits of Women’s History, so to speak. A lot of them, I hope, will be women whose names and accomplishments are new to you.
At the conclusion of my month of portraits, I combined all 26 into a single poster and included a QR code so that anyone who buys the poster will always have access to all 26 biographies hosted on my website.
