I designed a multitude of parts of the Magico S1 loudspeakers, which feature a unibody design made of extruded aluminum. The major design challenges for this product included:
-Implementing internal braces that could be tightened to fit against the smooth inner surface of the cabinet
-Tolerance stackup analysis of the speaker cabinet with the top, bottom and internal braces (accounting for bending and twist due to extrusion process)
-Implementation of weights to maintain a stable center of mass
-Creating a divider between the midrange driver and tweeter compartments that can be sealed to be airtight
-Research of materials and finish
