The archival (right portion) of this shot is from 1912 showing workers preparing for a
Columbus Day Celebration. Other photographs of the event on Flickr show crowds enjoying a parade and speeches. The statue by Lorado Z. Taft and fountain by Daniel Burnham were new at the time of the photo.
