Na última quinta-feira (19/07), o Sport Club Corinthians Paulista divulgou através de suas redes sociais um concurso para que diversos artistas criem e apresentem suas próprias versões do manto alvinegro. Para concorrer, crie seu modelo de camisa e poste-o no Instagram com a hashtag #MantoDoCorinthians.
Como designer e, acima de tudo, corintiano, me encarreguei de criar minha própria versão do manto, buscando homenagear a fundação deste clube que despertou o meu amor pelo futebol. Inspirado pela identidade visual já adotada pelo clube, busquei criar uma peça gráfica capaz de se comunicar com a maior torcida do mundo.

Last Thursday (07/19), Sport Club Corinthians Paulista announced through its social networks a contest for several artists to create and present their own versions of the white mantle. To compete, create your shirt model and post it on Instagram with the hashtag #MantoDoCorinthians.
As a designer and, above all, Corinthian, I took charge of creating my own version of the mantle, seeking to honor the foundation of this club that awakened my love for football. Inspired by the visual identity already adopted by the club, I sought to create a graphic piece capable of communicating with the biggest fans in the world.

Esta frase surgiu em 1º de setembro de 1910, à luz de um lampião, na esquina das ruas José Paulino e Cônego Martins, no bairro do Bom Retiro, onde Anselmo Corrêa, Antônio Pereira, Carlos Silva, Joaquim Ambrósio e Raphael Perrone fundaram o Sport Club Corinthians.
O presidente escolhido por esse grupo de operários foi o alfaiate Miguel Battaglia, que em seu primeiro momento afirmou:
"O Corinthians vai ser o time do povo, e é o povo que vai fazer o time."

Esta peça gráfica busca homenagear os fundadores do clube e dar continuidade à ideia que nosso primeiro presidente tinha para o clube. Por isso, é possível notar as frases espalhadas por todo o uniforme (abaixo das mangas e atrás da gola), além de manter elementos visuais que o clube adotou recentemente, misturando ideais do passado e do presente.
