Zeolitic ice, or clathrate hydrates, are eco-friendly materials that can play an important part in transition toward green energy. Those ice cages enclose gases such as methan, dihydrogen or carbon dioxyde and are an efficient solution for energy storage and CCS (carbon capture and sequestration).
