⟪CRaSH!⟫는 한국에 유일하게 잔존하는 철도관사촌 마을을 기록, 나아가 공존의 중요성을 이야기하는 책이다. 6・25 전쟁 시절 폭격으로 대다수가 사라진 철도 관사 건물은 현재 40여 채만이 남아 소제동의 역사를 이어가고 있다. 그 때문에 희소가치가 매우 높게 평가되나, 상업적 물결에 휩쓸려 사라져가는 순간은 현재 진행중이다. 현재 관사 건물은 약 40여 채가 남아있지만, 이 중 20여 채가 대전시 내 재정비 계획에 포함되어 있다.
