Creative Writing - Men/Women vs Women

Are we mere objects or humans for once?

Those spiteful eyes ran over her like the scorching sun on a summer afternoon,
The pupils dilated as revelation inscribed on your clothed skin,
That mind abides against the definition of "inappropriate clothing",
So, the hatred stems as you watch raw skin of a woman being "seen by men".

"Shameful behaviour", "You'll be viewed as an object for men", "You're asking for it" —
Facile words spoken by feminine eyes rupturing women's confidence in themselves,
Consternated, sabotaging thoughts of whether men aren't responsible for being indecent resurface yet again,
While, the question about 'whether the clothes were too revealing or fallacious thoughts are etched since birth?' remains unanswered.

Leaning on the windowsill of a ladies coach, I watch as the strangers' eyes zero upon the open buttons with a frown on their face,
With repugnance laced in her voice, she asks the mere girl to close them as "the men walking outside can see the wrong image",
Perhaps infuriation relating to 'sexualizing clothes' ran in her veins like it did in other demoralizing people,
Or perhaps these so-called men are innocent for the females always "ask for it" is embedded in the mind and soul by society itself.

"Pull down your top", "Adhere to the school dress code so boys can concentrate", "That neckline is too inappropriate for office",
Judgemental words by some, detrimental words to many are spoken so casually;
While semi-nakedness is drooled over like the blood that trickles down the wounds founded by your loved ones,
So, are we mere "things" for objectification or humans blooming with poise and ambition?

Scrolling through social media, I look at incidents of revulsion filling the women's own eyes as horror strikes their voices too,
Her sports bra is "too revealing" to be worn in a park full of different genders or perhaps the dress is "too short" to be worn in a restaurant with a male audience;
Maybe it's finally time to ask men to avert their eyes to feel safe in a society filled with gruesome people,
Or maybe it's time to apprise "highly educated people" with the prevailing problem of female objectification continued since ages and owned by them.
