This project was created in the year of 2015. The most colourful project and biggest ''challenge'' I have ever worked on, to this day.

The purpose of the project was to experiment with colour and to create one butterfly every day for 100 days. Through this series of works I wanted to get familiar with the use of colour. My aim was not to get the exact depiction of the species. Some are closer to the real entity some are more minimal in their approach, in a quirky, fun way.

Every Butterfly (a few moths also have been included), is fully hand- painted with watercolour and gouache paint. Above each species you will find the name of the butterfly/moth that was inspired from.
