Line illustration projects

Surface Design
Illustrator

A selection of illustration projects commissioned by different clients between 2019 and 2022 in which the line is the main graphic element, used to connect ideas, generate movement and synthesize figures.

Hope you enjoy them!

llustration for Neuchatel Cuadrante Polanco, a real estate development project in Mexico City, 2019.

Client: Mira
Agency: Gibert
AD: Mariana Gibert

The advertising agency Gibert in Mexico commissioned me to do a panoramic illustration for the construction company Mira. The purpose of this illustration is to promote Neuchâtel Cuadrante Polanco, an important urban project in Mexico City made up of residential towers, offices, commercial spaces, parks and boulevards. The illustration is integrated into a powerful campaign with applications in all types of media.

Illustrations for the wall of the dining room of the Vocento offices in Madrid, 2020.

Client: Vocento
AD: Iker Barinagarrementeria

From Vocento, a general information multimedia communication group in Spain, I was commissioned to illustrate the walls of the dining room of the new Vocento headquarters in Madrid. Along more than 15 meters of wall, the illustrations mix elements of the kitchen with references to the business areas of the company: press, magazines, audiovisual production, etc. Here the line, in addition to drawing, connects some ideas with others, helps to organize and provides dynamism; a resource that will be repeated in other projects.

Poster illustration for Wallbox, a brand of chargers for electric cars, 2021.

Client: Wallbox
Project manager: Sara Lanza

In 2020, the brand of chargers for electric cars Wallbox, born in Barcelona, is in full international expansion and commissions me to design a poster to be used in internal communications of the company, meetings with investors and mural applications in its new offices, within and outside of Spain. The poster consists of a large illustration that goes through the main values of the brand such as green energy, sustainability and connectivity. It is precisely this last feature that makes this style of illustration ideal for the project, since in its graphic language the lines that connect elements with each other are common. On this occasion the line is a charger cable that runs with energy and runs through the image from one end to the other, drawing paths, landscapes and many other motifs.

Poster illustration for Xunta de Galicia. Advertising campaign to celebrate July 25, day of Galicia. 2021.

Client: Xunta de Galicia
Agency: Idea Creatividad
AD: Jose Manuel Pérez

Through the Communication, Idea and Creativity agency, I was commissioned to illustrate the poster for July 25, Galicia Day. This was a very special commission because it was the most important date in Galicia. The poster was part of an outdoor advertising campaign for the entire Galician territory with adaptations for the press, television and the web. For that invitation message to celebrate such a special day, I reinterpreted the map of the community in a drawing that condenses, through a language of synthesis but full of details, with the main values of the region, such as its music, its festivals or its landscape, and giving special prominence to the Camino de Santiago.

Illustration for OPCW (Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons), 2022.

Client: OPCW
AD: Joshua Emberlin

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons commissioned me to make an illustration showing the main functions of this world organization based in The Hague, whose purpose is to achieve a world free of chemical weapons and the threat of their use, in which chemistry is used for peace, progress and prosperity. An issue that is sadly very topical, as you know. It was a challenge to work on a complex topic like this, joining many concepts and ideas.

Illustration for ProService, spare parts service of Volkswagen Group, 2022.

Client: ProService
 Agency: Proximity
Project manager: Astriz Menéndez

Illustration commissioned by Pro Service to apply to brand merchandising products related to summer, such as car sunshades or towels. The client was looking for an illustration about the pleasure of traveling by car to enjoy the summer. The result is a continuous landscape around two main figures, where the line draws roads, mountains, rivers, coasts and connects different scenes and elements related to the sun, summer and relax.
